I am Matt Jaikaran, a software engineer based in New York.

I've had an unconventional career path transitioning from the music industry as a former touring musician, songwriter, and producer while also specializing in marketing/branding, launching brands, and artist management while living in Nashville.

I moved to NYC 2016, attended a bootcamp and transitioned into software engineering, gaining experience in the full software lifecycle from design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. I have experience in both front end and back end development and have worked on various projects in different industries.

The majority of my experience lies within JavaScript/TypeScript and Python languages using various frameworks but I am continuously learning and researching for more optimal solutions to my workflow.

I am open to working on new projects of any size.
